Short, because we collect very little.
What we collect
Two things, and only when you choose to give them:
- What you send us. Your name, phone number and whatever you tell us when you fill in the enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, email us or call.
- What the law requires at the counter. A copy of the government photo ID you present, and your PAN where a single transaction exceeds ₹2,00,000, because Rule 114B of the Income-tax Rules requires it for bullion and jewellery above that value. Along with it, the transaction record itself: date, weight, measured purity, rate applied and amount paid.
The rate calculator on this site collects nothing. It runs entirely in your browser, it asks for no name, no number and no OTP, and nothing you type into it reaches us.
What we do not do
- We never contact anyone other than you about your transaction. Not your relatives, not a reference, not an employer. Selling gold is often private and sometimes urgent, and treating your family as a verification step would be a betrayal of that.
- We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked a question. If you want to hear from us, you will have to ask.
Who else sees it
Your KYC and transaction records are disclosed only where the law requires it — to tax authorities, or under a valid legal order. Where you ask us to settle a gold loan on your behalf, we share with that lender only what is needed to close the account.
If you use the WhatsApp route, that conversation also sits on WhatsApp’s servers under their terms, not ours. If you would rather it did not, call or come in instead.
How long we keep it
Transaction and KYC records are retained for the period Indian tax and record-keeping law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to a transaction are deleted once the conversation is finished.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking. It is a static site; there is no account to log into and no profile being built.
Your rights
Write to hello@cashyourgold.store to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have anything deleted that we are not legally obliged to keep. We will answer within a reasonable time and without asking why.
